Pre-Operative Clearance

At FastCare Aventura and FastCare Miami Beach facilities, we offer convenient pre-operative clearance services to help you prepare for your surgery in a timely manner.

Our board-certified doctors will review your health history and we will perform all necessary testing to meet your surgeon’s clearance requirements. From chest X-rays and EKGs to lab draws.

FastCare Urgent Care centers have been serving our communities for the past 20 years. We have been working with various medical specialties across South Florida, i.e. general surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, hand surgeons, ophthalmologists, spine surgeons, plastic surgeons, urologists, primary care and pediatric physicians.

If your primary care doctor cannot provide you with a suitable appointment slot or you simply don’t have one, we offer convenient and reliable service to meet your surgeon’s timeline for clearance packet. Our walk in urgent care facilities are open 365 days a year.

All services are performed in one visit

  • Doctor’s Clearance: Evaluation and clearance for surgery by our board-certified doctors

  • Chest X-ray

  • EKG

  • Lab Draws: We provide essential blood and urine tests that your surgeon may require, such as:

    • Urinalysis
    • CBC (Complete Blood Count)
    • CMP (Comprehensive Metabolic Panel)
    • PT/PTT/INR (Coagulation Tests)
    • Pregnancy Test
    • Some of the additional tests that may be requested by your surgeon: A1C, Nicotine, HIV, Thyroid Panel, and C-Reactive Protein and others.

We recommend fasting before visits to ensure accurate lab results. If you are planning an afternoon visit, it is advised to avoid food for 4-6 hours prior to your appointment.

Feel free to walk in anytime during our opening hours, no appointment is ever required. We are open 365 days a year, Monday through Friday from 9am to 9pm, as well as on weekends and holidays from 9am to 5pm. Please bring your ID, health insurance information, and doctor’s order.

No Appointment Needed, Walk Ins Welcome!

We are in-network with all major health insurance carriers. However, if you don’t have health insurance, we offer affordable self-pay pricing in a convenient bundle packages.

Most visits are completed within an hour to an hour and a half, completing all services required: chest X-ray, EKG, blood draws, and History & Physical (H&P) exam with one of our board-certified physicians.

We will do our best to accommodate those needing STAT pre-operative clearance. If your surgery date is within 48-72 hours, please let us know at the time of the visit, so that we can order your labs STAT.

For out-of-town or international patients: if you have already completed your labs at your place of residence, please bring them with you to your visit.
